Three-year-old Trinity D'Autorio, from Florida, is battling Neuroblastoma cancer after being diagnosed last year.
A TODDLER diagnosed with cancer got sleeve 'tattoos' of all her favourite Disney characters on both arms as a special treat.
Trinity D'Autorio, now three, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer last July, aged just two-and-a-half, as well as Harlequin syndrome and Horner's syndrome.
Mum, Skyla Zimmerman D'Autorio, said what started out as a "normal visit to the Paediatrician in early July 2018 quickly became every parents worst nightmare."
In just over two weeks, a lump which appeared on the toddler's neck had grown into a "solid mass roughly the size of a baseball."
Her parents, from Tampa, Florida, knew they had to act quickly, but the location of the tumour means it's inoperable.
So far Trinity has endured two rounds of chemotherapy, a bone marrow biopsy, surgery to have a Broviac line placed and then removed, CT scans, MIBG scans and X-rays.
As she continues her battle, Skyla set up a Facebook page, called Trinity Tough, to document her little girl's journey.
Sharing an update yesterday, as a treat for the toddler Skyla arranged for the youngster to have fake tattoos on her arms, as she loves her dad's, an operations director for a laundry company.
Partnering up with local salon, Ink Wolves, the tattoo artists doodled Trinity's favourite characters on both arms.
On one arm she has The Little Mermaid, butterflies, Donald Duck, Goofy, Cinderella's castle and Minnie and Mickey Mouse.
And on the other she has My Little Pony, Winnie the Pooh, Tinkerbell, and Sebastian and Flounder.
And on her legs she had Lilo and Stitch as well as her name, entwined with a cancer ribbon.
Writing on Facebook, Skyla said: "Cancer has taken and continues to take so much from Trinity and our family, so we try to think outside of the box to come up with super fun, once in a lifetime things to do, see, or go to.
"I originally reached out to Ink Wolves with an idea, not sure if they would even reply, and if they did reply I wasn't sure if they would think I was crazy!
"To my delight they jumped right into this crazy idea with me!
"I wanted to let Trinity get some "tattoos" because she loves the ones her daddy has.
"Ink Wolves took it upon themselves to get Tattoo markers, practice with them, have 2 artists come in on their day off, have snacks, and even jam out to Disney music for over 4 hours with a 3 year old who is fighting cancer, all while making sure Trinity had the BEST day!
"Never in a million years did I ever think I would take my 3 year old toddler to a tattoo shop."
And making the day extra special, Skyla revealed she had her first tattoo done as well - this time a real one.
Skyla, a stay-at-home-mum, had her three daughter's names inked on her arm, Cierra, five, Trinity, and Anastasia, one.
She added: "Never in a million years did I think that her and I would get our first tattoos together!"
People have praised the idea online, with one person commenting on Facebook: "So wonderful the memories they created will last a life time!!"
Someone else said: "Love this idea! That little girl is never going to want to take a bath again!!!"
A third wrote: "Such a cute idea to make a special day for you and her! I'm so thankful they accommodated this."
And another person said: "Absolutely love this! Now my 5 yr old says she wants tattoos too.
"What an amazing shop to make this happen!"
